Originally we allowed anyone to post anything, even anonymously, but now we require at least the pretense of an identifiable person. If your name (or email) is attached to what you say, then the chances of everyone behaving like responsible people — as opposed to trolls — goes way up.
Yes, anonymity has its place. If for some reason you'd like a way to post anonymously, then contact us and we'll see what we can do.
